Please review the following repertoire since these are pieces that will likely be worked on in group class and/or played at the play ins. Not all pieces will be played but it's best to be prepared! Feel free to play duets parts if you have them.
Institute-Wide Piece - Te Aroha
Please click here to access a recording and the parts to this lovely traditional Māori song Te Aroha. This will be a camp-wide tune that can be played at three different levels. Violin, Viola and Cello 1 are all appropriate for pre-twinklers and book 1 students. Part 2 is the melody and should be learned by everyone who can! Part 3 is the harmony and again, anyone who wants to learn this can! Advanced students may be asked to switch around based on how many students we have playing each part.
Here are the words with translation:
Te aroha - Love
Te whakapono - Faith
Me te rangimarie - Peace
Tatou tatou e - For us all
Viola Repertoire is identical to the Violin books 1-3 list. We will reach out to book 4+ violists to taylor a list.
