NESI Accommodations

Housing Options

Families will be accommodated in a combination of historic and modern dormitories, which include singles, doubles, triples, and suites. These rooms feature either private or communal bathrooms. Please note that the dormitories are not air-conditioned, but a fan will be provided in each room. Each room comes equipped with one, two, or three extra-long beds, a wardrobe, and a desk.

As an alternative, housing is available in Colby College's downtown Waterville apartments at the Alfond Main Street Commons. These modern, suite-style apartments offer both 4-bedroom and 6-bedroom suites, complete with living areas, full kitchens, two bathrooms, and air conditioning. Each bedroom contains one double bed. Please note, there is no cookware or dishes available in the kitchen and those who wish to use the kitchen will need to bring their own cookware and dishes. The Commons are a short drive from the campus, and Colby provides a complimentary shuttle service to and from the school. Smaller families will share a suite with other families. Please note that there is a limited number of rooms available, and assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend registering early!

Each bed comes with two sheets, one towel, one blanket, a pillow, and a pillowcase. *Please note that the mattresses are waterproofed, so you may want to bring a mattress pad for added comfort. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, and laundry facilities are also provided. We will use our discretion to assign compatible groups to the suites.

Dining Options on Campus

All meals, from Sunday dinner through Saturday lunch, are included in the housing fees for resident students and their families.  Those that are not staying in Colby housing can purchase meals at the door with a credit card.  At Colby College, Parkhurst Dining brings a fresh, chef-driven culinary experience to the dining halls and catering that centers on scratch-made meals, thoughtful hospitality, and genuine community. With a focus on farm-fresh, regionally sourced ingredients, the dining program draws on Parkhurst’s “Know Your Source” philosophy, connecting directly with local growers and producers. Our air-conditioned, all-you-care-to-eat dining hall supports dietary diversity, offering allergen-safe and gluten-sensitive options, and providing detailed menu labeling so you can dine with confidence.
